
Basic recipe
Ingredients
- ¼ cup oats
- ¾ - 1 cup water
Preparation
Pulverise oats in the food processor. In a pot, bring water to the boil. Add the pulverised oats, lower the heat and stir continuously. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Variations
Cream of oats and apple
- 1 dose of the basic recipe
- 1 medium sized apple
Preparation
- Peel the apple and mash it in a food processor.
- Mix the apple pulp with the warm cream of oats.
- Add a small quantity of cinnamon. (Optional)
Cream of oats with egg and vegetables
- 1 cup oat cream
- 2 egg yolks
- ½ cup mashed vegetables
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Preparation
- In a pan heat the olive oil.
- Add the cream of oats and vegetables and stir continuously.
- Add the two slightly beaten egg yolks and stir gently.
- Bake them until the egg yolks are cooked.
- Allow to cool and break it into pieces
